All are welcome to come along and join in with this important event . Commemorate one of our countries almost forgotten heroes , raise some money for a good cause and enjoy a day in the beautiful Wicklow country-side.
Fundraising at last years History festival , in conjunction with Cycle Against Suicide , raised a substantial sum which contributed to a youth congress to promote a suicide awareness message amongst teenagers . We are delighted to help organise this event and once again contribute to this important cause.
There will be free transport for all participants , and hopefully we will get a nice bit of weather and have an enjoyable day .

Alice Dunne , one of those who promotes the Cycle Against Suicide message at St Marys Holy Faith Killester , is one of the organisers of the memorial walk :
” The message we try to promote is that it is ok not to feel ok , and that no matter how bad things may seem sometimes that there is always help and support available . I heard a great quote about Dr Kathleen Lynn , when it was said that she believed “every child was an individual and must know himself, or herself, loved.” I believe that the work we are doing is in the spirit of great women like Kathleen Lynn , and as she was someone who devoted her life to helping children and relieving suffering I really believe this is an appropriate way to remember her on the weekend of her anniversary”.
