Katherine Zappone , Minister for Children and Youth Affairs made a visit to East Wall last week . She dropped in to the Youth Club on Strangford road , where the  Summer Project party was taking place . The Minister was welcomed by Maureen O’Sullivan and Marie O’Reilly , founding members of the club which is still going strong since the 1970′s .
The Minister met with many of the children in attendance , their parents and club volunteers . She also revealed her love of magician acts when she decided to stay for the show ! It was a great opportunity to show off the community spirit of our area , highlight the great contribution made by voluntary activists . The minister also received a report on the terrific Career L.E.A.P.   initiative from Gavin Hennessy , project manager.
