A Centenarian Lady
Fairfield Avenue is the road of her adobe
Josephine is this ladies name so serene
Every day to church, be it warm or cold
There she will sit in prayers of dream.
One hundred years young she stands
Of herself, she is still in command
Living in a neighbourhood of once raging pollution
She stood tall as magic dilution.
A century has quickly past
There is nothing, which can hold back class
1916 – 2016 what changes this lady has seen
A railway line sits near her home, how many whistle’s has she heard scream
How many steam engines did disturb her midnight dreams?
A very happy one hundred birthday to Josephine
