This year marks the fiftieth anniversary of the death of Sean O’Casey. One of Ireland’s most famous playwrights, O’Casey lived at 25 Hawthorn Terrace and later at 18 Abercorn Road. This production of one of his most famous plays is your first opportunity to celebrate the legacy of O’Casey in this anniversary year. Later in 2014 the Sean O’Casey Theatre will be hosting a festival week, and the East Wall History Group will also be producing material relating to O’Casey.
