The community of East Wall was saddened by the sudden death of James Lee earlier this month. Jim had been involved with voluntary community activity for most of his life . He had been involved with the Community & Day Care centre , the home help service and many ,many more local initiatives. As the above report shows , he was one of those responsible for the building of the youth club premises in the 1970′s. A testament to their efforts , the building is still in use and serving the young people of the community. This report originally appeared in the community festival brochure in 1977, almost forty years ago.
